Scott Devine, the St. Mary's College of Maryland director of athletics and recreation, introduced Casey Brandt Friday morning as the next aquatics center director and head coach for the men's and women's swimming programs. Brandt will assume his duties on Monday, June 27.

A trio of CAC student-athletes earned CoSIDA Academic All-America honors as members of the at-large team, announced Tuesday. Salisbury women's lacrosse senior Megan Wallenhorst and Mary Washington field hockey senior Haley Kane claimed first team accolades, while St. Mary's women's swimming senior Cara Machlin was named to the third team.

At last year’s CAC Championship, Mary Washington became the only team across all conference sports to win the team title in each of the 25 years of the CAC’s existence, capturing 16 of the 18 events to run away with the crown. The fight for second place was one of the closest ever, as just 59 points separated second-place Marymount from fourth-place Salisbury, with St. Mary’s sandwiched in between.
