YORK, Pa. -- Marymount freshman Luke Tyree and Wesley senior Eric Willey were named the CAC Baseball Players of the Week for April 18, 2016.

Marymount freshman Luke Tyree was named the CAC Player of the Week for the second time this year after hitting .700 and slugging 1.100 in a 3-0 week, helping the Saints clinch the No. 2 seed in the CAC Tournament. Tyree went 7-for-10 with two triples and four runs scored in victories over Frostburg State and Southern Virginia. In a 6-4 victory over Frostburg State last Wednesday, Tyree went 3-for-3 with two RBIs, a triple, and scored once. He notched at least two hits and scored at least once in all three contests.

Wesley senior Eric Willey received CAC Pitcher of the Week accolades after tossing 10 scoreless innings in two appearances last week, including a complete-game shutout against Christopher Newport that helped the Wolverines secure the No. 4 seed in the CAC Tournament. Willey struck out six and walked three while scattering eight hits in Wesley's 8-0 win over CNU on Saturday. Earlier in the week, he threw an inning of scoreless relief in a non-conference game against Susquehanna, striking out two.

The six-team double-elimination CAC Tournament field is set following Saturday's final day of the regular season ... Frostburg State secured the top seed for the second straight season with a doubleheader sweep at St. Mary's ... As the No. 1 seed, the Bobcats will host championship weekend, set for Thursday through Saturday at Bob Wells Field ... The CAC first round is set for Tuesday. No. 1 Frostburg State will host No. 6 Penn State Harrisburg, No. 2 Marymount will host No. 5 Christopher Newport, and No. 3 Salisbury will host No. 4 Wesley ... Three CAC teams are ranked in the D3baseball.com National Poll - Salisbury is No. 11, Frostburg State is No. 13, and Christopher Newport is No. 16, while Mary Washington is receiving votes ... In the Collegiate Baseball/ABCA rankings, Salisbury is No. 15, Christopher Newport is No. 23 and Frostburg State is No. 30 ... CNU's Adam Emerson earned a pair of saves in conference games last week. Tommy Vitaletti hit .350 and drove in seven runs in seven games while scoring six times and blasting two home runs ... Frostburg State senior K.J. Hockaday hit .571 (12-of-21) with eight RBIs, nine runs, two doubles, a triple, a home run and a grand slam ... Mary Washington senior James Keller turned in a magical finale to his career this week, batting .538, hitting for the cycle, and breaking the UMW season home run record in his final at bat. He had a single and two walks in a win over Virginia Wesleyan with three runs scored, and homered to drive in three in a win at Southern Virginia. On Saturday against York, in the opener, he hit for the cycle, and also walked and was hit by a pitch, driving in four runs and scoring five in a 21-9 win, the 600th of head coach Wayne Riser's career. In his final at bat in the eighth of the nightcap, he hit an opposite field home run to cap an amazing day ... Needing one win to secure its first-ever CAC postseason bid, Penn State Harrisburg split its twinbill with Salisbury to claim the sixth and final playoff spot. Will Quiles recorded three hits and scored three times in the Lions' 15-13 game one win over Salisbury. Brendan Riotto recorded his fourth save of the season in Penn State Harrisburg's 3-0 win against Christopher Newport on Thursday ... Tom LaBriola led Salisbury on the week with six RBIs and six runs, while batting .438. All six RBIs came in the Sea Gulls' doubleheader split against Penn State Harrisburg, including off a three-run home run in the second game ... Southern Virginia's Marcus Begg finished the season as the team leader in batting average, RBIs, doubles, triples, and home runs. He is one of five CAC players batting above .400 ... Chris Seibert was Wesley's best source of offense in five games last week, recording eight hits including a double and two home runs. The sophomore scored five runs, drove in six and stole a base as the Wolverines earned a pair of wins. He leads the Wolverines with seven home runs and 40 RBIs on the year.
