Three CAC Players Selected To Compete In The 2011 National Field Hockey Coaches Association Senior All-Star Game

Mary Washington's record-setting scorer Morgan Jones along with the Salisbury duo of Courtney Webster and Tara McGovern were selected to compete in the 2011 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Senior All-Star Game.

They were among the 57 players named to the rosters for the showcase, scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 19, at Nichols College in Dudley, Mass.

Nichols is the site of the NCAA Division III championship weekend.  Semifinals are set for Nov. 19 (before the all-star game), and the championship game will be played Nov. 20.  Players from teams advancing to the national semifinals are ineligible to participate in the all-star game.

Jones, who ranks second all-time in UMW history in career goals scored with 49 and total points with 122, recently broke the school's single-season goals record with her 24th of the year.

Webster, a forward for the No. 1-ranked Sea Gulls, was a 2008 second-team All-CAC honoree while McGovern is a three-time first-team all-conference pick on defense.
