NCAA Championship competition commences this weekend for a number of CAC fall sports teams. The NCAA postseason opens up in cross country, field hockey, men's and women's soccer, and volleyball. 

Several fall teams have also qualified for the ECAC Championship tournament, with action concluding this weekend. This weekend also tips off the 2014-15 men's and women's basketball seasons, while several swimming teams will compete as well.

Below is a full breakdown of this weekend's slate postseason of contests:

NCAA CHAMPIONSHIPS 

Volleyball | NCAA Bracket 

This weekend's action kicks off on Friday night with Christopher Newport (31-3) set to meet Gallaudet (22-13) at 8 p.m. in the last of four opening round contests at the Freeman Center in Newport News on the campus of CNU. Other first round matchups feature Stevenson (29-5) vs. Richard Stockton (28-6) at 5:30 p.m., Eastern (29-5) vs. Salem (12-13) at 3 p.m., and SUNY New Paltz (31-5) vs. Haverford (21-9) at 12:30 p.m. 

First round winners advance to Saturday, with a regional champion set to be crowned on Sunday at 4 p.m.

Cross Country 

Nine CAC cross country teams will compete at NCAA Regional Championships this Saturday in hopes of claiming bids into the NCAA National Championships. Six teams are headed to the Mid-East Championships in Newville, Pa. and three to the South/Southeast Championships in Rome, Ga.

Field Hockey | NCAA Bracket 

Salisbury earned the lone NCAA bid from the CAC with a 2-1 overtime victory over Christopher Newport in last Saturday's CAC Championship. After receiving a first round bye, the Sea Gulls (17-1) will open up against Centre (16-7) in the second round Saturday at 11 a.m. Wellesley (18-2) will meet Juniata (15-5) in the other second-round matchup at Sea Gull Stadium, with the two winners set to meet Sunday with a Final Four berth on the line. 

NCAA Second Round

Saturday, Nov. 15 | Salisbury, Md.

• Centre at Salisbury, 11 a.m. 

Men's Soccer | NCAA Bracket 

Two CAC teams will compete in the NCAA Tournament, CAC Champion Christopher Newport and regular season champion Salisbury, which received an at-large bid. CNU (16-3-4) hosts a four-team regional, facing Lynchburg (13-6-1) in round one Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Montclair State (17-4) and Stevens Institute (13-3-2) meet in the other regional matchup in Newport News, Va.

Salisbury (12-2-5) travels to Lancaster, Pa. on the campus of Franklin & Marshall for a matchup opposite Rochester (9-5-3) at 7:30 p.m. Host F&M (15-1-2) and Johnson & Wales (R.I.) (15-5-1) square off in the other first-round matchup in Lancaster. The two winners from both regionals will meet on Sunday for a spot in the Sweet 16.

Women's Soccer | NCAA Bracket 

CAC Champion Frostburg State and regular season champ Christopher Newport begin their quest for deep NCAA runs this Saturday, both away from home but not against the host team. Frostburg State (13-4-5) faces SUNY Geneseo (16-2-2) at Johns Hopkins University's Homewood Field in Baltimore at 7:30 p.m., with host Hopkins (16-3-1) and Farmingdale State (14-5-3) matched up in the other first round game at 5:30 p.m.

At Lynchburg, CNU (12-3-4) squares off against Stevenson (10-5-5) in the nightcap at 7:30 p.m., while host and unbeaten Lynchburg (22-0) meets Salem (18-4) at 5:30 p.m.
