All-Region Teams

Twelve field hockey players from the CAC were honored as NFHCA All-South Region all-stars, announced Monday. This list includes seven first-teamers and five second-team selections. 

CAC Champion Salisbury led the way with four all-region nods, with two on the first team and two on the second. CAC Player of the Year Summer Washburn and Courtney Jantzen landed on the first team, with Mallory Elliott and Samantha Johnson on the second team. 

Mary Washington secured three spots on the squad, with Haley Kane and Jenna Steele both earning first team recognition, while Kathleen Namey garnered second team accolades. 

Christopher Newport and York both had two players nab all-region honors. For CNU, Allie Hackbarth and Belle Tunstall both received first-team recognition. For York, Ali Posey and Katie Petrillo were named to the second team. 

St. Mary's Christine Bishop was the lone Seahawk on the all-region team, earning first-team honors.
