Salisbury and Mary Washington Notch CAC Field Hockey Semifinal Wins, Setting Up Championship Rematch

Salisbury and Mary Washington each came away with victories in the CAC field hockey semifinals on Wednesday, setting up a championship rematch among the conference rivals.

Salisbury will host Mary Washington on Saturday's with a title on the line for the second straight year and 10th time overall, the most frequent matchup in CAC history. Game time is to be announced. 

In Salisbury, Md., top-seeded Salisbury broke open a scoreless game in the second half with five goals after the intermission, defeating fourth-seeded York 5-0. Five different players scored for the Sea Gulls (15-1), who remained ranked No. 2 in the NFHCA national poll. The Spartans fell to 13-6 with the defeat. 

In Newport News, Va., Mary Washington junior Morgan LaRowe scored a pair of goals, including the game winner in overtime, to lift the Eagles to a 3-2 victory. The Eagles improved to 12-5 on the season, while the Captains slipped to 14-5.
