Salisbury Field Hockey Selected to Host NCAA tournament Second and Third Round

The Salisbury field hockey team earned a first-round bye in the NCAA Division III Field Hockey Tournament and will serve as a host of one of four second/third round sites this weekend at Sea Gull Stadium.
The Sea Gulls earned the CAC's automatic bid after defeating Mary Washington 8-0 in Saturday's title game.
Second-ranked Salisbury (16-1) will take on either Kenyon (14-6) or Elizabethtown (14-4) in the second round, after the two teams square off on Wednesday in a first-round affair. Ursinus (16-4) has also earned a first-round bye and will play in Salisbury next weekend against the winner of another first-round contest between Trinity (Conn.) (12-4) and Cabrini (12-7).
The announcement marks the 32nd NCAA tournament berth for the Salisbury field hockey program, and first time hosting since 2014.
Game times for the second-round games on Saturday, Nov. 12 have not be set. Check back to cacsports.com for updates.
