Salisbury Field Hockey Blanks Kenyon, Moves on to Quarterfinals

Second-ranked Salisbury advanced to the quarterfinal round of the NCAA Field Hockey Tournament after defeating Kenyon, 3-0, in a second-round contest on Saturday morning at Sea Gull Stadium.
The Sea Gulls (17-1) have now won 13 straight games and will meet sixth-ranked Ursinus (17-3) on Sunday at 1 p.m. with a spot in the Final Four on the line. Ursinus defeated Trinity (Conn.) 2-1 in Saturday's other second-round game at Sea Gull Stadium.
Abbey Shobe, Casie Preisch, and Natalie Wilkinson tallied goals for the Sea Gulls in the victory. Salisbury outshot Kenyon 16-9 and held an 11-5 edge in penalty corners. Goalkeeper Tressie Windsor finished the day with three saves for SU.
