A trio of CAC field hockey student-athletes were named to the Longstreth / National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) All-America team, announced Tuesday. Salisbury senior Hannah Miller and Mary Washington senior Christine Loehr were named to the second time, while Salisbury senior Becca Rinaca claimed third team honors.

Miller, the CAC Player of the Year, earned All-America honors for the first time as a second-team pick. She was a force all over the field in 2016, contributing nine points on the offensive end with one goal and seven assists, while also playing strong in the midfield and on defense and helping the team to a goals-against average of just 0.55 - the best mark in the nation.

Rinaca also claimed her first All-America honors as a third team selection. She finished second on the team in scoring, posting 15 goals and a pair of assists for 32 points in her senior season. The forward was fourth in the CAC in goals per game and sixth in the league in points per game.

Loehr, who also picked up the first All-America honors of her career, scored 11 goals and added 11 assists this season for the Eagles, giving her 31 goals and 27 assists in her four-year career. She was selected to play in the NFHCA National North-South Senior All-Star Game, and earned first team all-region and all-conference honors as well.
