Salisbury's Dawn Chamberlin Named NFHCA Regional Coach of the Year for 11th Time

The National Field Hockey Coaches Association announced the 2016 Front Rush/NFHCA Collegiate Regional Coaches of the Year on Thursday and Salisbury University's Dawn Chamberlin was named the top coach in the South Region.

This marks the 11th time that Chamberlin has been honored with the award, after leading the team to its 20th Capital Athletic Conference championship, 32nd NCAA tournament appearance, and 14th trip to the NCAA Division III championship weekend.

Chamberlin's Sea Gulls closed the year with an 18-2 record, and were one of the most successful teams statistically, ranking in the top four nationally in team goals-against average (0.55), scoring average (4.08), and scoring margin (3.53).
