YORK, Pa. -- York senior Kyle Walthall was tabbed as the CAC Men's Swimming Athlete of the Week for Nov. 17, 2015.

York senior Kyle Walthall was named the CAC Men's Swimming Athlete of the Week for the second straight week after breaking a pool record and winning six events in a 2-0 week for the Spartans. Walthall began the week with two individual victories against Messiah. He broke the York pool record in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 56.72, the top time in the nation this year, and also claimed first in the 200 IM. In a win over Washington & Jefferson, he captured first place in the 200 freestyle, 50 freestyle, 100 breaststroke and contributed to the winning 200 medley relay team.

NOTES AROUND THE CONFERENCE

Four CAC squads were in action last week, with St. Mary's defeating Frostburg State 187-75 in the only CAC meet of the week ... Frostburg State sophomore Christian March won all three of his individual events against St. Mary's in the 100 breaststroke, 50 freestyle and 200 breaststroke. He remains undefeated in the 100 and 200 breaststrokes and he swam a season best time of 2:14.38 in the 200 breaststroke ... Grant Burgess collected 4 golds, 2 silvers, and a bronze in St. Mary's 1-1 week ... Salisbury freshman Peter Moyer set a school record in the 1000 freestyle with a time of 10:15.01 to pick up a second-place finish for the Sea Gulls in their meet against Washington College. The previous school record was set in 2009 (10:24.14).
