Easton announced its Fastpitch All-American softball teams on Monday and Salisbury University senior Erika Brittingham and junior Michelle Gravdahl were each named to the team. The two Sea Gulls were named to the Non-Division I team and were two of just three Division III student-athletes named to the squad.

Frostburg State softball sophomore Caitlin Lovend was named to the 2012 Capital One Division III Academic All-America Third Team as announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) on Tuesday. Lovend becomes just the sixth Academic All-American in the history of the Frostburg State athletic department and the first for FSU's softball program.

The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced its 2012 NFCA Division III All-American teams and two Salisbury University softball players were honored. Senior pitcher Erika Brittingham and junior catcher Michelle Gravdahl were each named to the third team. This is the 12th consecutive season that at least one Sea Gull has been honored as an All-American, and the pair brings the program's total to 26 All-Americans.
