Frostburg State Junior Renay Aubel and Salisbury Senior Rachel Johnson Earn CAC Softball Weekly Honors
YORK, Pa. -- Frostburg State junior Renay Aubel and Salisbury senior Rachel Johnson were honored as the CAC Softball Players of the Week for April 27, 2015.

Frostburg State junior Renay Aubel was named the CAC Player of the Week after hitting .525 with three home runs in a 6-0 week for the Bobcats. Aubel drove in seven runs, scored six times and posted a slugging percentage of 1.105 in leading Frostburg State to sweeps over Stevenson, Pitt-Greensburg and Hood.

Salisbury senior Rachel Johnson earned CAC Pitcher of the Week after posting three wins and a save to go with a perfect 0.00 ERA last week for the Sea Gulls. With the final out against Catholic in a one-hit shutout on Saturday, Johnson notched her 1,000th career strikeout, becoming just the 18th player in NCAA Division III history to accomplish the feat. She appeared in all four games for the Sea Gulls, recording three wins, and picking up her first save of the year on Sunday afternoon. She struck out 26 in 16 innings of work and did not walk a batter, while surrendering just three total hits.
