FREDERICKBURG, Va. -- York freshman Keven Stahl was named the CAC Men's Swimming Athlete of the Week for the fifth time this season on Jan. 30, 2018.

York freshman Keven Stahl was named the CAC Athlete of the Week for the fifth time after posting three victories in leading the Spartans to their fifth-straight dual meet win on Saturday at Marymount. Stahl opened the day by contributing to the winning 400 medley relay team with a time of 3:40.20. He then recorded a win in the 200 freestyle, traversing the pool in a time of 1:45.94, winning by over seven seconds. He followed that with a win in the 100 butterfly, notching a time of 53.22. Stahl currently owns the top times in the CAC in the 200 free, the 500 free, the 1,000 free, the 1650 free and the 400 IM with NCAA B cut times in the 1650 free and the 400 IM.

NOTES AROUND THE CONFERENCE

Frostburg State freshman Connor Gioffreda had an impressive day as he set three American Paralympic records in the 100-meter butterfly (1:26.83), 400-meter freestyle (6:05.82) and the 800-meter freestyle (12:23.83) as the Bobcats defeated both Bethany (92-27) and Salem (87-34) ... Junior Jeffrey Leckrone led Mary Washington against Gettysburg, winning the 100-yard breaststroke, finishing at 57.98, and taking second in the 100 freestyle ... Marymount junior Isaiah Jones has continued to dominate the spring freestyle events for the Saints, grabbing the 50 freestyle (22.18) and 100 freestyle (48.14) for the second-straight meet this weekend over York. All nine of his top finishes this season have been in the two events, not falling once in any freestyle event. He currently sits fourth in the CAC in the 50 freestyle and the 100 freestyle.
