York junior guard AMANDA ANDREWS (Fallston, Md./Fallston) is the Capital Athletic Conference Womens Basketball Player of the Week for Feb. 18, 2008, after her career-best scoring performance helped the Spartans snap a three-game losing streak and stay in the chase for a home game in the first round of the upcoming CAC playoffs. Andrews threw nailed a career-best seven three-point goals on 10 attempts (70%) and finished with a career-best 25 points in YCPs lone game of the week, a convincing victory over Wesley. The Spartans have a one-half game lead over Wesley and a one-game advantage over Salisbury heading into the final week of the seas for the fourth home game in the CAC quarterfinals.
