YORK, Pa. -- Salisbury senior Sarah Seipp was named the CAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week for Feb. 2, 2014.

Salisbury senior Sarah Seipp was tabbed as the CAC Player of the Week after helping the Sea Gulls remain undefeated in league play with another 2-0 week. Seipp averaged 18.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 5.0 steals and 3.0 assists per game with just one turnover throughout the two contests. Against St. Mary's, she total 16 points, including nine during a key 11-0 run to start the second half. She also tallied a game-high eight rebounds and a game-high three steals against the Seahawks. Against Southern Virginia, she posted a season-high 21 points, while tying a career-high in steals with seven.

NOTES AROUND THE CONFERENCE

Salisbury is ranked 18th in the D3hoops.com rankings and 20th in the WBCA/USA TODAY Top-25 ... Salisbury remains the lone unbeaten in the CAC with an 12-0 conference record, followed closely by Mary Washington (11-1). The Sea Gulls and Eagles will meet on Saturday in Salisbury ... Salisbury became the first CAC team to clinch a playoff berth, its fourth-straight bid after a two-year hiatus. It is the Sea Gulls' second-straight season with 12 conference wins - one shy of team best (set in 2001 and 2002) and second-straight year with 18 overall wins - highest total since 23-5 record in 2002-03 ... Senior Caitlin Ciniero led Mary Washington to a pair of road CAC wins this week, going 10-of-11 from the field for the week (90.9%) and averaging 13.5 points per game as UMW topped Frostburg State and Marymount ... Wesley's Alexus Stroud led all scorers with 17 points in upset win at Marymount before scoring a team-high 19 points in a win at Frostburg State. She shot 52.6% from floor, 50% from deep and 84.6% from the line ... Southern Virginia's Crystal Cleveland earned her sixth double-double of the year in the Knights' loss Saturday at Salisbury.
