St. Mary's junior Kobe Chaney was selected as the CAC Player of the Week after pouring in career-bests of 20 points and 18 rebounds in leading the Seahawks to a 73-60 win over Penn State Behrend last week. Chaney also contributed a career-high 10 field goals (10-for-18; 55.6%), a season-high five assists, three blocks and two steals in the victory. The double-double was Chaney's third of the season.

Christopher Newport is ranked No. 2 in the D3hoops.com and No. 3 in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) rankings, while Marymount is No. 24 in the D3hoops.com poll and receiving votes from the WBCA ... CNU defeated Virginia Wesleyan 90-55 on New Year's Eve ... Frostburg State fell to Waynesburg 64-61 in its lone contest of the week ... Marymount senior forward Nicole Viscuso reached a career milestone on Saturday afternoon, scoring her 1,000th point at the Catholic Holiday Tournament. Viscuso and junior Tyffani McQueen were both named to the All-Tournament Team ... Salisbury junior Megan Konig averaged 17.5 points in two wins at the Music City Classic in Nashville, Tenn. In a 116-26 win over Goucher, Konig scored 16 points on 8-of-9 shooting in just 20 minutes of action. The junior guard added four assists in the win. Konig scored a game-high 19 points in a 66-62 overtime win the following day over Millsaps. She added four rebounds, two steals, and two blocks in the victory while shooting 50% from the field ... Southern Virginia junior Alexus Barnes drained six three-pointers to push the Knights past Mary Baldwin on Saturday for a career-high 23 points and season-best 53.8% shooting. She is second on the team this season with 5.9 rpg, and a team-high 16 threes ... York went 1-1 last week at the Land of Magic Classic in Daytona Beach, Fla.
