FREDERICKBURG, Va. -- Frostburg State senior Macey Nitchie earned CAC Women's Swimming Athlete of the Week for the third consecutive week on Nov. 21, 2017.

Frostburg State senior Macey Nitchie was selected as the CAC Athlete of the Week for the third consecutive week after setting five school records, recording an NCAA B-Cut time and two of the top times in Division III at the Franklin & Marshall Invitational. She won the 200-yard freestyle in a school record and NCAA B-Cut time of 1:52.45. She also finished runner-up and set another school record in the 100-yard freestyle in 52.06. Her 200 freestyle time ranks fourth nationally while her 100 freestyle time is sixth in the nation. Nitchie captured her third individual school record in the 500-yard freestyle in 5:17.36. She also contributed to a pair of relay school records, helping the 800-yard freestyle team to a time of 8:12.14 and the 400-yard freestyle relay to a mark of 3:42.65.

NOTES AROUND THE CONFERENCE

Four CAC teams competed last week ... Marymount went 1-1 in dual meets, defeating Gallaudet 98-79 before falling to Randolph-Macon 129-75 ... St. Mary's fell to Washington College and McDaniel in dual meets last week. Junior Hailley Baughman registered three individual wins in two days to lead the Seahawks ... York sophomore Justine Wantz set two new individual records and was a part of two record-breaking relays for the Spartans at the Franklin & Marshall Invitational. The Spartans 400 medley and 200 medley relay teams set new school records, while Wantz set personal records in the 100 backstroke and 200 backstroke.
