Marymount Sophomore Emileigh Rettig Earns CAC Volleyball Weekly Honor
YORK, Pa. -- Marymount sophomore Emileigh Rettig nabbed CAC Volleyball Player of the Week honors for Oct. 7, 2014.

Marymount sophomore Emileigh Rettig was named the CAC Volleyball Player of the Week after leading the Saints to a 3-0 record last week, including a pair of CAC victories. Rettig began the week with 17 kills, eight digs and two services aces in a 3-2 triumph at Frostburg State. She followed that up with 15 kills and nine digs a sweep over Wesley, before posting nine kills and nine digs in a 3-0 non-conference victory over Methodist. For the week, Rettig averaged 3.73 kills and 2.36 digs per set while hitting .270%. She also added five aces and three blocks in helping the Saints to a 2-0 CAC start.

NOTES AROUND THE CONFERENCE
CAC play opened up this past week ... Christopher Newport cracked the top-10 of last week's AVCA Coaches' Poll, landing at the #9 spot ... CNU and Salisbury faced off in the first CAC match of the season last Tuesday, with the Captains coming away with a 3-2 victory in a rematch of last year's championship ... Mary Washington fell to #8 Juniata on Friday before splitting with York and Penn State Altoona on Saturday. Freshman Dani Fiore scored 41 kills for the week, including 16 against both York and Altoona ... St. Mary's Mandy Goodspeed tallied a season-best 16 kills in the CAC opener vs. Southern Virginia ... Katie Stouffer led Salisbury with 24 kills in its only match of the week, a 3-2 loss to Christopher Newport.
