Christopher Newport 1st, Mary Washington 4th, Marymount 13th And Southern Virginia 15th In 2012-13 Virginia Sports Information Directors All-Sports College Division Survey

Current CAC members Mary Washington (4th) and Marymount (13th) combined with future CAC members Christopher Newport (1st) and Southern Virginia (15th) to give the Conference four teams among the Top 15 in the final Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) All-Sports College Division Survey for the 2012-13 season.

The VaSID All-Sports College Division Survey lists the overall winning percentages of each of the 28 NCAA Division II, III, NAIA and USCAA men’s and women’s athletics programs in the state of Virginia.

Christopher Newport, in its final season as a full member of the USA South Athletic Conference, placed first in the College Division Survey for the fifth-straight season, compiling a 76.2 overall winning percentage (263-81-3 record). 

CNU, which will officially join the CAC on July 1, 2013, also placed first in the men's sports survey (69.6%, 96-41-3) and women's sports survey (80.7%, 167-40-0).

Mary Washington, which captured its first CAC Commissioners Cup championship since the 2004-05 season, placed fourth overall the VaSID surveywith a 62.1 winning percentage (198-120-4). 

The Eagles finished sixth in the men's sports survey (57.2%, 79-59-1) and fourth in the women's sports survey (65.8%, 119-61-3).

Marymount placed edged Mary Washington for third place in the women's sports survey on the way to 13th place in the overall VaSID standings.  MU teams posted a 52.1 overall winning percentage (87-80-3), including an exceptional 66.8 winning percentage in women's sports (69-34-1).

Southern Virginia, a provisional NCAA Division III member set to join the CAC along with CNU and Penn State Harrisburg on July 1, 2013, ranked 15th overall out of 28 programs in the state, including a 12th-place finish in men's sports.  The Knights won 51.8% of their men's sports events this season (57-53), and finished with a 46.8 overall winning percengage (101-115).
