The Capital Athletic Conference announced that 829 student-athletes were named to the 2012-13 All-Academic Team, an average of 118 student-athletes per member institution.
St. Mary’s College Names Dr. Ian Newbould As Interim President

The Board of Trustees of St. Mary’s College of Maryland named Dr. Ian Newbould as interim president for the 2013-14 academic year. Newbould, who will take office August 1, most recently served as interim provost at the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Va.

Wesley College senior multi-sport standout Tristin Burris (Camden, Del./Polytech), named last week as the Capital Athletic Conference Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year, was selected by the CAC Directors of Athletics as the conference’s 2013 NCAA Woman of the Year program candidate.

Mary Washington Wins The CAC All-Sports Award For First Time Since 2005

Marymount Student-Athletes Volunteer at 18th Annual Special Olympics Basketball Tournament

Marymount University's student-athletes recently took time away from their respective seasons to help out at the 18th Annual Special Olympics Regional Basketball Tournament held on Saturday, April 6. Organized by Marymount’s Campus Ministry Association, the tournament featured a multitude of athletes and teams from all over the Northern Virginia area in both the senior and junior levels.
