University Of Mary Washington Announces Its 2008 Hall Of Fame Inductees

The University of Mary Washington Athletic Hall of Fame will induct four new members as the 12th induction class on October 24, 2008, as part of the schools Homecoming celebration. Former swimming All-Americans Eliza Barcus Brown (96) and Chris Rice (98) and multisport standouts Eliza Huber Scott (96) and Jennifer Wilson Buck (94) comprise this years class.
CAC Boasts 900 Student-Athletes On The 2007-08 All-Academic Team

The Capital Athletic Conference announced that 900 student-athletes from the nine full-member institutions competing in 19 championship sports were named to the 2007-08 All-Academic Team.
Salisbury University Captures The 2007-08 CAC Richard C. Cook All-Sports Award

Salisbury University, which won nine Capital Athletic Conference championships and finished second in four of the other 10 sports during the 2007-08 academic year, captured the annual Richard C. Cook All-Sports Award as well as the new Mens Commissioners Award and Womens Commissioners Award.

Hood College Names Kate Davis Barrick Head Softball Coach

Hood College has hired a former Division I standout from Fordham University to lead its softball program. Kate Davis Barrick becomes the fourth coach in the seven-year history of the Blazers' varsity softball program. She inherits the head coaching duties from Tricia Fiut, who resigned after four years at the helm.

Corey Hewson Named Head Women's Soccer Coach at Mary Washington

Corey Hewson has been named as the head women's soccer coach at the University of Mary Washington, as confirmed by UMW Athletic Director Ed Hegmann. Hewson, who has served as an assistant coach for the Eagles for the past seven years, becomes the third coach in the 22-year history of the program, following Pete Ginnegar and Kurt Glaeser.

Gallaudet Interim Athletic Director Mike Weinstock announced the selection of Matt Lisle as the new head coach of Gallaudet Baseball. Coach Lisle comes to Gallaudet Athletics from Saint Mary's College High School in Berkeley, California.
