Salisbury Junior Luke Campbell and Senior Dylan Burkett Awarded as CAC Men's Track & Field Athletes of the Week
YORK, Pa. -- Salisbury junior Luke Campbell and senior Dylan Burkett are awarded the CAC Men's Track & Field Athlete of the Week honors for March 31, 2015.

Salisbury junior Luke Campbell was awarded CAC Track Athlete of the Week for taking first in both hurdles races in the Big Dawg Invitational this past weekend. Campbell finished with a time of 14.73 in the 110- meter hurdles. His time is the top time in the conference and also ranks second in Division III. Campbell went on to win the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 54.23, which is ranked fourth in the nation. His time for the 400-meter hurdles is tops in the conference and eighth in the nation.

Salisbury senior Dylan Burkett earned the CAC Field Athlete of the Week after recording a first and third-place finish in helping Salisbury take second place at the Big Dawg Invitational on Saturday. Burkett took first in the discus throw with a toss of 149'-3", which ranks 17th in the country and first in the conference. Burkett also placed third in the hammer throw with a 135'-8" mark.

NOTES AROUND THE CONFERENCE
Six CAC track & field teams were in action this past weekend ... Christopher Newport's Daulton Teaford posted three top-five finishes, including a second-place showing in the 200, during the Fred Hardy Invitational. In the 200, he faced a strong headwind and still finished in 21.84, which ranks fourth in the NCAA this year ... Sterlyn Elder just missed a pair of ECAC Championships marks as Frostburg State competed at the Jim Taylor Invitational. Elder won the 200-meter dash in 22.74, 0.44 shy of the ECAC standard, while he finished second in the 100-meter dash at 11.16, just 0.11 from the ECAC's ... Senior Frank Corona took first place in the javelin throw at the UMBC Big Dawg Invitational on Saturday. Corona bested the field with a throw of 44.55 meters ... Penn State Harrisburg's Joe Phifer had the best individual finish of the day for the Lions at the Jim Taylor Invitational, claiming top honors in the 800 meter run at 1:58.51 ... At the Towson Invitational, Wesley freshman Travis Young placed second overall and first among non-Division I athletes in the javelin with a mark of 161'-01", just off the school-record.
