YORK, Pa. -- Christopher Newport sophomore Grayson Reid was named the CAC Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week for Oct. 6, 2015.

Christopher Newport sophomore Grayson Reid earned CAC Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week honors after posting the top time among all conference competitors at the Paul Short Run at Lehigh University. Reid completed the 8k in 25:50 during the Brown Division race, placing him 89th among the 354 runners, which included numerous Division I and II competitors. His efforts helped CNU finish 16th among all teams, while coming in behind four nationally-ranked Division III programs (No. 16 Haverford, No. 18 Bates, No. 21 Colby, and No. 27 Allegheny).

Christopher Newport (4th) and Mary Washington (8th) are ranked in the USTFCCCA South/Southeast Regional rankings ... Frostburg State freshman Robert Romano paced the Bobcats at the 2015 FSU Invitational, earning fourth place in 29:08.04. Sophomore Brad Baker and junior Xavier Alvarez also earned medalist honors by finishing in the top 10 ... Mary Washington won the White Division of 39 schools at the Paul Short Run, led by junior Ben Sorensen in fifth place at 25:56 ... Penn State Harrisburg hosted the Bud Smitley Invitational, with senior Jordan Fuhrman taking 16th in 23:59 ... Salisbury's Don Cathcart Invitational was cancelled last weekend due to inclement weather in the region.
