York Freshman Keven Stahl Earns Sixth CAC Men's Swimming Weekly Award

York freshman Keven Stahl earned CAC Athlete of the Week for the second straight week and sixth time this season after registering the eighth-fastest 1,000 freestyle time in the nation and helping the Spartans hand Mary Washington its first CAC loss 2012. Stahl won three individual events and was a part of one winning relay in York's 139-123 victory over the Eagles. In the battle of conference unbeatens, Stahl won the 1,000 freestyle in a time of 9:33.44, which ranks eighth in Division III. He was also victorious in the 200 butterfly at 1:54.97 and the 500 freestyle at 4:42.22, and saw the leadoff leg on the winning 400 freestyle relay that clinched the win for the Spartans in 3:12.88 - the top time in the CAC this year.

York freshman Keven Stahl was named the CAC Athlete of the Week for the fifth time after posting three victories in leading the Spartans to their fifth-straight dual meet win on Saturday at Marymount. Stahl opened the day by contributing to the winning 400 medley relay team with a time of 3:40.20. He then recorded a win in the 200 freestyle, traversing the pool in a time of 1:45.94, winning by over seven seconds. He followed that with a win in the 100 butterfly, notching a time of 53.22. Stahl currently owns the top times in the CAC in the 200 free, the 500 free, the 1,000 free, the 1650 free and the 400 IM with NCAA B cut times in the 1650 free and the 400 IM.
Mary Washington Junior Jeffrey Leckrone Collects CAC Men's Swimmer of the Week Award

Mary Washington junior Jeffrey Leckrone collected CAC Athlete of the Week honors for the third time this season after tallying seven victories in a pair of dual meet wins for the Eagles last week. He picked up individual wins over St. Mary's in the 200 breaststroke at 2:08.83 and the 100 yard butterfly at 53.54, and was also a member of the winning 200 yard medley relay. In the win over Marymount, Leckrone collected wins in the 100 breaststroke at 59.03, the 100 freestyle at 48.74, and the 200 IM at 2:00.22. He was also a member of the winning 200 medley relay.

York freshman Keven Stahl earned CAC Athlete of the Week honors for the fourth time this season after leading the Spartans to a 151-103 dual meet victory over Randolph-Macon. Stahl won the 1,000 and 500 freestyle events in the win. He won the 1,000 freestyle with a time of 9:51.65, and touched first in the 500 freestyle at 4:54.23. For the year, Stahl has 15 individual wins to pace the Spartans.
Mary Washington Senior Jeffrey Leckrone Earns Second CAC Men's Swimmer of the Week Award

Mary Washington senior Jeffrey Leckrone was tabbed as the CAC Athlete of the Week for the second time this year after registering a pool record and NCAA B Cut time in the 200 breaststroke at the Gettysburg Invitational. Leckrone raced to a time of 2:01.45 in the 200 breastroke, taking first place in the event. His time ranks fifth in Division III and set a Gettysburg pool record. He also finished second in the 100 breaststroke at 56.74. His 200 time ranks second in the CAC and 29th nationally.
Frostburg State Senior Christian March Named CAC Men's Swimmer of the Week

Frostburg State senior Christian March was named the CAC Athlete of the Week after posting a pair of wins, meet and school records, and NCAA B-Cut times at the Franklin & Marshall Invitational. March won the 200-yard breaststroke in a meet and school record and NCAA B-Cut time of 2:02.96. That time ranks fourth in Division III this season. In the 100-yard breaststroke, March set another meet and school record, and hit another NCAA C-Cut time in 55.83. That time ranks sixth in the nation. He also took third place in the 50-yard freestyle in 21.41, which is the top time in the CAC.

York freshman Keven Stahl was named the CAC Athlete of the Week for the third consecutive week after posting the top times in the CAC in the 200 freestyle and 100 butterfly during the Spartans' non-conference win over Washington & Jefferson. Stahl won the 200 freestyle in a time of 1:44.75, just .32 seconds off York's school record. He also won the 100 butterfly in 52.63. His 200 freestyle mark ranks 34th nationally. He owns the top CAC times in six events this season - the 100 free (48.17), 200 free (1:44.75), 500 free (4:41.57), 1,000 free (9:37.82), 100 fly (52.63), and 200 fly (1:55.88).

York freshman Keven Stahl was named the CAC Athlete of the Week for the second straight week after breaking four more records in a CAC victory over St. Mary's. Stahl won the 1,000 freestyle in 9:37.82, setting York school and pool records and winning the event by over 41 seconds. He also won the 500 freestyle with a time of 4:41.57, which also set new pool and school records for the Spartans. Stahl owns the top times in the CAC in the 100, 500, and 1,000 freestyles so far this season.

York freshman Keven Stahl received CAC Athlete of the Week honors after breaking three Salisbury pool records in his collegiate debut for the Spartans. Stahl set new SU pool marks in the 800 freestyle, 400 freestyle, and 200 butterfly, helping the Spartans secure a 171-91 CAC victory.

Mary Washington junior Jeffrey Leckrone was named the CAC Athlete of the Week after picking up five wins in the Eagles' opening two meets. In a win over Randolph-Macon last Friday, Leckrone swam the breaststroke leg of the winning 200 medley relay, won the 100 freestyle at 48.47, and capped his evening with a victory in the 200 IM (2:00.69). Against Washington & Lee, he won the 100 breaststroke at 58.13 and the 200 breaststroke at 2:11.12. All of his times rank tops in the CAC, while is 100 breaststroke (4th NCAA) and 200 breaststroke (10th NCAA) rank among the best in Division III this season.
