Salisbury Senior Luke Campbell and York Senior Alex Palescandolo Earn CAC Men's Track & Field Weekly Awards
YORK, Pa. -- Salisbury senior Luke Campbell and York senior Alex Palescandolo were named the CAC Men's Track & Field Athletes of the Week for May 3, 2016.

Salisbury senior Luke Campbell was selected as the CAC Track Athlete of the Week for the third time of this outdoor season after leading the Sea Gulls at the Penn Relays. Campbell anchored the 4x400 relay that beat out multiple Division I programs and won its heat in a time of 3:15.78. That time is tops in the CAC this year and eighth nationally. He also took 12th in the 110-meter hurdles at 14.24 seconds.

York senior Alex Palescandolo was named the CAC Field Athlete of the Week after improving on his school record in the shot put with a toss of 15.30 meters at the Paul Kaiser Classic hosted by Shippensburg University on Saturday. Palescandolo broke his own mark of 15.01 meters that he set earlier this year on March 23, and took fifth in the event. He also placed 11th in the discus with a best throw of 42.66 meters.

NOTES AROUND THE CONFERENCE
The majority of CAC teams competed last week, including several at the historic Penn Relays in Philadelphia ... Frostburg State competed at the Bison Invitational at Gallaudet. Hossein Hakimi won the 200-meter dash (22.55) and took second in the 400 (51.45), both season-best efforts. Shamar Nelson captured a win in the long jump for the second time this spring after jumping 6.51 meters for the Bobcats ... Penn State Harrisburg and York competed at the Paul Kaiser Classic at Shippensburg, while Wesley and Salisbury sent several individuals and relays to the Penn Relays.
