Christopher Newport senior Jeff Dover was named the CAC Track Athlete of the Week for the third week in a row after racing to a school record in the 5000 meters at the Bucknell Bison Outdoor Classic on Saturday. One week after breaking CNU's 1500 record, he set a new mark in the 5000 after crossing in 14:21.61. That shaved nearly 14 seconds off his previous school record of 14:35.06. It also marked the second-fastest clocking in the nation this year and was just .02 seconds off of the all-time CAC record.

Penn State Harrisburg junior Cameron Yon claimed CAC Field Athlete of the Week honors for the second straight week after breaking the CAC record in the discus with the top throw in Division III this season. Competing at the Bison Outdoor Classic, Yon registered a mark of 55.83 meters in the discus throw, breaking the previous CAC record of 54.79 meters set by Mary Washington's James Eberhardt in 2005. His mark is tops in Division III by nearly six feet.

Christopher Newport senior Brendon Burrows won a pair of events at the Towson Invitational on Saturday. During the meet, he claimed the shot put with a 15.09-meter heave before winning the discus with a 49.60-meter toss ... Frostburg State junior Shamar Nelson posted a win and hit three ECAC marks at the Messiah Multi & Invitational. He won the long jump at 6.93 meters (22ft. 9in.) and took second in both the prelims (11.06) and finals (11.12) in the 100-meter dash ... Mary Washington sophomore David Danek finished first in the high jump at the Towson University Invitational on Saturday. The sophomore cleared six feet, 8.25 inches, for the Eagles' lone top finish at the meet, which included numerous Division I competitors. ... Malcolm Milton earned Salisbury's first victory of the day at the Towson Invitational on Saturday, claiming a first-place finish in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:55.74. Donovan Beckett-Simms finished second in the triple jump and broke a 20-year-old school record in the process. He posted a jump of 47' 5.75", which broke the previous mark set by Tony Hill back in 1998 with a jump of 46' 6.5". Beckett-Simms' mark is the 11th-best in Division III so far this spring ... Wesley freshman Thomas Kalieta Jr. won the 200- and 400-meter dashes at Widener's Quarry Classic on Saturday. Kalieta ran the 200 in 21.60 seconds, 11th-best in Division III, and the 400 in 48.43 seconds, which is tied for 14th in Division III ... Southern Virginia sophomore Derek Blasko won every event he competed in lastweekend - winning the javelin (13.52m) on Friday at Bridgewater and winning the men's shot put at Randolph on Saturday with a season-best mark 13.52 meters, followed by a lifetime best javelin throw of 52.10 meters ... York freshman Harley Heun won the 400 meter dash with a school record of 49.63 at the Messiah Invitational. He also ran the lead off leg of the 4x400 meter relay team that finished second in the race.
