Five CAC Women's Soccer Teams, Two Men's Squads Earn NSCAA 2014-15 Team Academic Award

Five CAC women's soccer teams and two men's squads were recognized with the National Soccer Coaches of America (NSCAA) College Team Academic Award for the 2014-15 academic year. Teams with a combined grade point average of 3.0 or higher earn the honor.

Christopher Newport sophomore Victoria Perry claimed her first career All-Region honor and senior Joy Piirto collected her second, as the pair of Captains represented the CAC on the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All South-Atlantic Team. Perry was a second team All-Region selection, while Piirto earned third team All-Region laurels.
Frostburg State Senior Stephanie Fazenbaker Earns Capital One Academic All-America Distinction

Frostburg State senior Stephanie Fazenbaker has been named to the 2014 Capital One Academic All-American Women's Soccer Division III First Team and became the first student-athlete in school history to garner the prestigious academic honor three times, Friday as announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

The Wesley women's soccer team fell at Arcadia, 5-0, in the opening round of the ECAC South Championship on Wednesday evening. The seventh-seeded Wolverines, who were playing in their first-ever postseason tournament, finish the season at 10-7-1 overall while the second-seeded Knights move to 16-6 and advance to the semifinal round.
