Christopher Newport senior Richard Roethel capped off his career with a national title in the decathlon at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Friday at Ohio Wesleyan. The national championship is the second career title for Roethel after also winning the 2012 heptathlon.

But at the 2014 CAC Indoor Championships, first-year CAC member Christopher Newport captured top honors in the women’s team standings, and Wesley claimed third place in both men’s and women’s standings – the best team performances for the Wolverines since joining the CAC nearly a decade ago.

Salisbury and Wesley traveled to Philadelphia for the 120th edition of the historic Penn Relays at Franklin Field, while Frostburg State and York competed at the Paul Kaiser Classic at Shippensburg.
