FREDERICKSBURG, Va. -- Mary Washington's Rajai Walton and Frostburg State's Robert Romano were selected as CAC Men's Track & Field Athletes of the Week for April 30, 2019.

Frostburg State senior Robert Romano broke Frostburg State's program record in the 3,000-meter run, with a first-place effort of 8:39.28 at the Paul Kaiser Classic at Shippensburg ... It breaks the previous mark of 8:48.20, set by Bob Rimkis in 1982 ... It marks the sixth-consecutive meet with an individual win for Romano during the outdoor season. This marks the second time this season Romano has earned this award.

Mary Washington sophomore Rajai Walton captured a pair of wins for Mary Washington at the Eagle Invitational this weekend, as he won the long jump at 6.85 meters and the triple jump at 14.71 meters.

NOTES AROUND THE CONFERENCE
Salisbury's Conner Masteran capped a successful first day at the 125th Penn Relays for the Salisbury University track & field program as he posted a new personal record in the 5,000-meter run coming home in a time of 15:07.29...Mary Washington's Laurence Sneed was the big winner for Mary Washington at the Eagle Invitational on Saturday. He won the 200 meters at 23.04 and the 400 meters at 50.46.
