Penn State Harrisburg announced today that it will add an intercollegiate men’s and women’s track and field program. The teams will begin competing in the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) in 2014-15 during the indoor and outdoor seasons.

She won four gold medals at the 2013 CAC Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Championship meet and was rewarded by the conference coaches with her third-straight Athlete of the Year award - fifth-straight if you include the awards presented at the first two CAC indoor championship meets (2012 and 2013).

Two CAC schools competed this weekend with Frostburg State at Lynchburg College for the Dr. Jack M. Toms Open and Salisbury in Winston-Salem, North Carolina for the Wake Forest Open. Frostburg men placed 9th overall and the women placed 8th overall. Salibury managed to break three previously standing school records at this weekend’s meet.
