Frostburg State Sophomore Kayla Truesdel and Salisbury Junior Kathy Kammerer Honored as CAC Women's Track & Field Athletes of the Week
YORK, Pa. -- Frostburg State sophomore Kayla Truesdel and Salisbury junior Kathy Kammerer were selected as the CAC Women's Track & Field Athletes of the Week for Feb. 16, 2016.

Frostburg State sophomore Kayla Truesdel grabbed her second CAC Track Athlete of the Week award of the indoor season after capturing a pair of second-place finishes at the Susquehanna Invitational. Truesdel hit a pair of ECAC-qualifying marks, finishing the 60-meter dash in 7.88 and the 200-meter dash in 26.14. Both times rank among the top five in the conference this season.

Salisbury junior Kathy Kammerer was named CAC Field Athlete of the Week after taking fifth place in the pole vault at the Susquehanna Invitational. Kammerer posted a season-best mark of 9'-5.75" to claim fifth place.

NOTES AROUND THE CONFERENCE
Four CAC teams competed last week in final tune-ups for the upcoming CAC Indoor Championship meet ... The CAC Championship is set for Sunday, Feb. 21 at Christopher Newport ... Salisbury's Alexis Kent set her personal best in the 200-meter dash in 29.62 at the Susquehanna Invitational on Friday ... A small group of Wesley student-athletes traveled to Staten Island, N.Y. to compete in the Fast Track Invitational at Oceanbreeze Track last weekend. Though the competition was mainly NCAA Division I members, Wesley still had several solid showings as they built momentum for the CAC Indoor Championships ... Jenna Roberts posted York's top finish at the Susquehanna Invitational on Friday night, finishing fourth in the mile run with a personal-best time of 5:27.38. Her mark ranks sixth in the CAC.
