Christopher Newport is ranked 26th in the final fall standings of the Learfield Sports Directors' Cup, headlining a contingent of four Capital Athletic Conference schools in the rankings. Along with CNU, other CAC schools in the standings include Mary Washington in 63rd place, Salisbury in 74th position and Frostburg State in 91st.

Chris Roekle Named Capital Athletic Conference Associate Commissioner

Chris Roekle joins the Capital Athletic Conference after five years with the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC, NCAA D-II) as Associate Commissioner for Championships and External Relations. Roekle modernized promotional and publicity efforts with an emphasis on enhancing the student-athlete experience with a focus on social media-based platforms and an enhanced championships experience.

This year's class for the hall of fame will feature Sue Ackermann (women's lacrosse), Erin Budd (field hockey), Chase Caruso (men's lacrosse), Brad DeHaven (football), Dan Lader (men's soccer), and Justin Smith (men's lacrosse).
