Southern Virginia freshman Katie Garrish collected CAC Player of the Week honors for the second time this season after leading the Knights to a 2-0 week with averages of 22.5 points, 14.5 rebounds and 3.5 blocks per contest while shooting 57.6% (19-of-33) from the floor. She tallied double-doubles in both contests, upping her season total to 12 double-doubles. Garrish began the week with 19 points, 15 rebounds and three blocks in a 79-59 road win at Frostburg State, before closing out the week with a season-high-tying 26 points along with 14 boards, four blocks and two steals in a 78-67 triumph at Wesley. Garrish leads the CAC in scoring (15.6 PPG), rebounding (11.9 RPG) and blocked shots (3.1 BPG) this season.

Marymount (10-0 CAC) remains the lone unbeaten in conference play, with Christopher Newport one game back in second place at 9-1. Mary Washington and York are tied for third at 7-3 in CAC play ... Christopher Newport is ranked No. 12 in the D3hoops.com and No. 10 in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) rankings, while Marymount is receiving votes in both polls ... CNU sophomore Kiana Kirkland led the Captains in scoring with 16.0 PPG in a 2-0 week, helping CNU to a pair of 50+ point victories over Mary Washington and Frostburg State. Kirkland shot 70.6% from the field (12-of-17) and led the Captains in scoring despite only averaging 10.5 minutes per contest ... Frostburg State sophomore Sydney Stotler scored a combined 25 points and posted 16 rebounds in two Frostburg State losses last week ... Mary Washington sophomore guard Emily Thompson led UMW to a 1-1 week, scoring eight points at Christopher Newport and adding a career-high 13 in a 76-65 win over York on Saturday ... Marymount senior Nicole Viscuso nearly averaged a double-double for the week, tallying 15 points, 9.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, a block, and a steal per game, as the Saints went 2-0 again in league play to move to 10-0. The two home victories extends the Saints' home winning streak to 15 games ... Penn State Harrisburg senior Janel Brown notched her 100th career three-pointer against Salisbury on Saturday ... Olivia Nowlin put up solid numbers for St. Mary's this past week, leading the Seahawks in scoring with 15.0 PPG including a season-best 16 points against Marymount ... Salisbury sophomore Rachel Ryan averaged 10.0 points and 7.5 rebounds per game in a 2-0 week for Salisbury. Despite playing just 19.0 minutes per game in Salisbury's two double-digit victories, Ryan averaged double figures on 58.3% shooting from the field. Of her 15 total rebounds, nine came on the offensive end ... Wesley junior guard Monshea Newsome-Murray collected a career-high 33 points against Southern Virginia on Jan. 20, besting her previous career-high of 20 points in her collegiate debut against Southern Virginia on Nov. 17, 2015.
