Marymount senior Leah Hurst was named the CAC Player of the Week after averaging 16.5 points on 54.2% shooting, 6.0 assists, 3.5 steals and 2.5 rebounds per game in another 2-0 week for the Saints, who are now 12-0 in CAC play. Hurst opened the week with a career-high 21 points on 8-for-15 shooting while tallying four rebounds, four assists and four steals in a 64-45 victory over Salisbury. In a 72-49 win at York, she registered 12 points along with a season-high-tying eight assists and three steals. Hurst has dished out eight assists three different times this season, and leads the CAC in assists per game (5.5). She also ranks second in the conference in steals (2.9 spg) and assist/turnover ratio (2.2).

NOTES AROUND THE CONFERENCE

Marymount (12-0 CAC) remains the lone unbeaten in conference play, with Christopher Newport one game back in second place at 11-1. The Saints and Captains will square off on Saturday in Newport News ... Christopher Newport is ranked No. 13 in the D3hoops.com and No. 10 in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) rankings, while Marymount is receiving votes in both polls ... CNU ran its winning streak to six in a row with victories over St. Mary's and Wesley last week ... Frostburg State freshman Kayla Wilson scored 18 points against both York and St. Mary's as Frostburg went 1-1 in two games last week ... Mary Washington junior Jordan Pamlanye scored a career-high 20 points on 8-for-12 shooting as the Eagles topped Southern Virginia, 77-59, on Wednesday, and added 12 points on 6-for-10 shooting on Saturday in a loss at Salisbury. Her effort against Southern Virginia included 10 rebounds for her first career double double, as well as five steals. For the week, she shot 63.6% from the floor (14-22), and averaged 6.5 rebounds ... St. Mary's senior Kerri Kline not only averaged team-bests of 15.0 points and 7.0 rebounds but she also became St. Mary's all-time leader in three-point field goals made. Kline broke the record at No. 10/13 Christopher Newport with a trio of triples to surpass the old mark of 166 set by Felicia Harris '01. Kline also moved into fifth place on the school's scoring list with her 17-point performance against Frostburg State. She now has 1,176 points and 170 three-point field goals ... Penn State Harrisburg senior Tessa Dolce averaged a double-double last week with 19.5 points and 12.5 rebounds per game ... Salisbury junior Kaylyn French averaged 17.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 4.5 steals per game in a 1-1 week for the Sea Gulls. The forward posted 18 points, nine rebounds, and six steals against first-place Marymount, followed by a 16 point, six rebound, three block, two steal performance to secure Salisbury's first win over Mary Washington in three years. She shot 47.1% from the field while adding 1.5 assists and 1.0 blocks per game ... Southern Virginia's Cory Stout averaged 13.5 ppg last week in a 1-1 CAC week for the Knights. In Saturday's home win over Penn State Harrisburg, she led the Knights with 14 points, including three three-pointers. She leads the team and ranks fourth in the CAC in assists (3.9 apg) ... Monshea Newsome-Murray registered a pair of double-digit point games for Wesley last week, including 21 points in a win over Penn State Harrisburg. Newsome-Murray notched double figures five times in a six-game span.
