York Senior Kathleen Cannon and Frostburg State Freshman Holly Van Wie Honored as CAC Women's Track & Field Athletes of the Week
YORK, Pa. -- York senior Kathleen Cannon and Frostburg State freshman Holly Van Wie were selected as the CAC Women's Track & Field Athletes of the Week for May 3, 2016.

York senior Kathleen Cannon was selected as the CAC Track Athlete of the Week for the second time this outdoor season after setting new school and conference records in the 3,000 meters at the Paul Kaiser Classic at Shippensburg. Cannon race to a time of 10:25 in the event, placing her fourth as the top Division III finisher in the race.

Frostburg State freshman Holly Van Wie was honored as the CAC Field Athlete of the Week after placing second in the shot put (10.40 meters) and third in the hammer throw (34.45 meters) at the Bison Invitational at Gallaudet.

NOTES AROUND THE CONFERENCE
The majority of CAC teams competed last week, including several at the historic Penn Relays in Philadelphia ... Frostburg State sophomore Kayla Truesdel posted a win in the 100-meter dash (12.56) and a runner-up finish in the 200-meter dash (25.60) at the Paul Kaiser Classic, both ECAC-qualifying times ... Penn State Harrisburg and York also competed at the Paul Kaiser Classic at Shippensburg, while Wesley and Salisbury sent several individuals and relays to the Penn Relays.
