CAC Lands 13 USTFCCCA Track & Field All-Academic Honorees

The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced on Monday (July 22) its All Academic Awards and total of 462 men and 631 women earned USTFCCCA All-Academic honors during the 2018-19 track & field seasons.
Four Land Google Cloud Track & Field Academic All-District Honors

The College Sports Information Directors of America released its 2018-19 Google Cloud Academic All-District Men's and Women's Track & Field / Cross Country Teams on Tuesday afternoon. Four representatives from the CAC were recognized: Salisbury senior Conner Masteran, Salisbury sophomore Sydney Ruckel, Frostburg State senior Robert Romano and Christopher Newport sophomore Zoe Stauffer.
CAC Earns 59 USTFCCCA Outdoor Track & Field All-Region Honorees

All-Region honorees for the 2019 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field season were announced on Sunday (May 19) by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). A total of 59 standouts from the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) achieved all-region status, including 30 male and 29 female honorees.

Mary Washington junior Erin Andrewlevich was selected as the CAC Women's Outdoor Athlete of the Year to headline the 2019 All-CAC Women's Outdoor Track & Field team. Southern Virginia freshman Baylee Mulitalo and Mary Washington head coach Kunle Lawson collected the other top honors as Rookie and Coach of the Year, respectively.

Four CAC Athletes Qualify for NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships

The NCAA Division III Men’s and Women’s Track and Field and Cross Country Committee announced Sunday the participants in the 2019 NCAA Division III Men’s and Women’s Indoor Track and Field Championships. A total of four CAC athletes (two men, two women) will compete at the championships which will be held March 8-9 at the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center in Boston, Massachusetts, with the University of Massachusetts, Boston serving as host.
Salisbury Collects Second CAC Women's Indoor Track & Field Championship

Salisbury captured the 2019 CAC Women's Indoor Track & Field Championship on Saturday at the Freeman Center, tallying 154 points to defeat second-place Christopher Newport (135) by 19 points. The Sea Gulls now have a pair of CAC indoor titles as SU earned the inaugural women's indoor competition back in 2012.
